Why a quieter place

Most feeds are built to keep you scrolling. Zein is built to let you stop.

There is no algorithm here. No suggested posts, no infinite scroll, no counter quietly measuring your worth in likes. You follow people, not topics, and your feed is only the voices you chose. When there is nothing new, the page simply ends, and that is the point.

The name carries three ideas. Zen, for calm and intentional slowness, the opposite of the attention machine. Sein, the Estonian word for wall, a place to set a thought down where it can stay. And Zein, a word of its own, which becomes whatever the people here decide to make of it.

What you will not find is as deliberate as what you will. No badge demanding your return. No ranking deciding which of your friends you are allowed to hear. No mood-engineering disguised as a feed. The tools that usually farm your time are simply absent, and their absence is the feature.

This is a room for writing carefully and reading without being mined. Estonian first, English alongside it. Start with one honest thought. The rest follows.
